Australia's newest Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, has this week admitted she no longer believes in God, despite being raised in a Baptist family.

Ms Gillard was responding to questions about her faith and marital status, during an interview with the ABC.

Lyle Shelton from the Australian Christian Lobby says, while he applauds the PM for her honesty, he believes her comments may come at a price.
