The Australian Christian Lobby has welcomed the Barnett Government's commitment to keeping brothels out of residential areas in WA, but has called for that to be taken a step further.

During a meeting earlier this week, Attorney-General Christian Porter said prostitution is morally objectionable, and he wants it to be limited to tightly controlled areas.

But ACL Managing Director Jim Wallace says the Government should make it a crime to use brothels.
